SASSA Disability Grant

Application Process Of SASSA Disability Grant

To apply for Disability Grant, you first need to undergo a complete medical examination by a doctor appointed by the state and get your disability certificate verified by him. Causes Of Grant Suspension

If you meet any of the consequences below, your disability Grant may suspended.

  • Suppose you are receiving a disability grant from the government and investing it in a business, etc. If it improves your circumstances, you are not eligible for the assistance, and your grant is suspended.
  • If your review report is taken and you are found ineligible for the grant. You will be notified of the grant suspension.
  • If you do not cooperate with the grant review, your grant may be suspended.

Reasons for Lapsing of the Disability Grant

Your Disability Grant may lapse upon fulfilling any of the conditions provided below.

  • If the grantee dies.
  • If your grant is a temporary disability grant, it must expire.
  • If you cannot provide proof of your existence as requested. Suppose you cannot ascertain whether you are alive or dead on review of your annual grant.
  • Your grant may suspended if you have yet to receive your grant for more than three consecutive months.
  • At the time of review, if it is find that you have permanently transferred to a government-funded institution or hospital, your grant may terminated.
  • If you are out of the country for over 90 days without reason and have not received your grant. Your current payment is terminate immediately upon leaving the country.
  • If your circumstances have improved since receiving the grant. If you do not qualify for the grant in the mean test, your grant may terminated.
  • If you have entered a state Institution for some time due to any compulsion. Your grant amount reduce by 25 percent. Your full grant amount is restore to you as soon as you are discharge from this institution.
